SoleCrypt has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SAFOZI – Rock Solid Cloud Infrastructure, a Tunisian cloud and data-infrastructure leader with a strong regional footprint. The agreement reflects a shared ambition: to scale secure, sustainable digital infrastructure that can support fast-growing demand for AI, cloud services and data-intensive applications.
Through this partnership, SoleCrypt and SAFOZI will work to integrate renewable-powered compute from SoleCrypt’s Tozeur projects with SAFOZI’s established cloud and hosting platforms. The goal is to give Tunisian and regional customers access to high-performance computing and storage that is powered by clean energy and hosted locally.
The collaboration is also designed to capture the opportunity created by new international capacity such as the Medusa subsea cable, which will position Tunisia as a regional connectivity gateway between Europe and Africa. By combining energy, connectivity and cloud capabilities, the partners aim to deliver high-quality, secure and truly sustainable digital infrastructure for enterprises, public institutions and technology companies.
Joint work will include a roadmap for scalable, energy-efficient data centres, alignment on security and compliance standards, and co-development of services that help customers migrate workloads to a Tunisian, renewable-powered cloud.
SoleCrypt is grateful to Zied Ouled Ali and the entire SAFOZI team for their trust and partnership. This MoU is an important first step toward a green, sovereign cloud ecosystem built in and for Tunisia, supporting both national and regional digital ambitions.
