SoleCrypt took part in the Uganda DeepTech Summit in Kampala, joining the Infrastructure & Data track for a discussion on one of the most important questions facing Africaโs digital economy:
The conversation brought together leaders working across AI, data, connectivity, investment and public policy.
For SoleCrypt, the message was clear: Africaโs digital future is not only about using technology. It is also about hosting it, powering it and making sure the foundations are built locally.
Renewable power, transmission, data centres, fibre connectivity, compute and low-latency delivery are all part of the same stack. Without that foundation, AI and Industry 4.0 remain dependent on infrastructure built elsewhere.
SoleCryptโs contribution focused on this practical reality. To close the digital infrastructure gap, Africa needs more than ambition. It needs power, land, connectivity, investment and execution working together.
Thank you to Open Startup and the Uganda DeepTech Summit team for bringing this conversation to Kampala and for creating space for a serious discussion on Africaโs infrastructure future.
