SoleCrypt X Schneider Electric MoU: Sustainable AI Data Centres in Tunisia
SoleCrypt and Schneider Electric have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to assess the development of next generation sustainable AI data centres in Tunisia, designed for high intensity computing with a low carbon and water footprint.

Tunis, 2 February 2026 — SoleCrypt, a Tunisian British developer of sustainable digital infrastructure, and Schneider Electric, the global leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to study and co develop next generation data centres in Tunisia. These facilities are designed to host intensive artificial intelligence compute workloads while maintaining a low carbon and water footprint.

The partnership aims to position Tunisia as a strategic platform for sustainable computing serving Europe and the MENA region, building on the country’s key advantages in renewable energy, international connectivity through submarine fibre optic cables, and a fast growing digital ecosystem.

Under this collaboration, SoleCrypt will provide strategic sites across Tunisia with strong connectivity to the national power grid and telecommunications infrastructure, enabling sub 10 millisecond latency to Europe. Schneider Electric will act as a key technology advisor, providing AI data centre reference architectures co developed with NVIDIA, as well as medium and low voltage electrification solutions, secure power systems, liquid cooling, and intelligent infrastructure management through EcoStruxure IT.

“With SoleCrypt, we combine Tunisian sites with premium international routing and our AI designs developed with NVIDIA to rapidly deliver world class compute capacity that is water efficient and ready to scale,” said Amine Benchekroun of Schneider Electric.

“Our project positions Tunisia as a true digital bridge between Africa and Europe, serving industrial players, fintechs, and artificial intelligence laboratories. We want to work with Schneider Electric to transform Tunisia into a Mediterranean super hub for sustainable digital infrastructure,” added Amir Ben Gacem of SoleCrypt.

Further announcements regarding this partnership will be shared by both parties in the coming months.
